Fighting to Believe

My grandparents always give us birthday and Christmas cards, and my grandpa always signs them with: “Love, Grandma & Grandpa.” He’s so cute and sweet and is always on top of it.

Well, today my cousin, Ronnie, graduated from high school and my grandpa gave him a card. I read it and saw that he signed it “Love, Grandpa.” …it broke my heart. I mean, obviously, it’d probably be weird if he signed both of them but it’s still sad and I just really miss my grandma.

Seeing my grandpa out and about w/out her breaks my heart and I can’t imagine the pain he must feel, and I’m sure he feels lonely and maybe a little lost. He was with her for about 54 years and loved her more than anything in the world. He must feel like a part of him is missing. I just love my grandpa and wish that I could help the pain go away, ya know? I can’t but I just wish.

Jesus, please heal my grandpa’s heart and hold him close when he feels sad. Thank You for the wonderful blessing that he is. Thank You for such a treasure.
